Chumbe Island –full day trip
The trip in a motorized boat will take you to the secluded island of chumbe which manages nature reserve , with forest and marine nature trails, one kilometer of totally protected and untouched reef, a historic lighthouse (built in 1904) and an old mosque. The biggest attractions of the island are the peaceful and natural environment. You will journey through the special nature trails passing a tunnel of fascinating indigenous under growth, listening to birds and small animals going about their uninterrupted business. More than 40 species of birds have been identified on island ,including the endangered Roseate Tern. Snorkeling in the Reef sanctuary is amazing ; an uninterrupted coral garden stretches right from the shallow beach to a drop-off to about 16 meters deep, teeming with thousands of colorful fish belonging to 370 families, which is among the highest diversity found anywhere along the east African Coast. Turtles and dolphins regularly visit the reef, and spiny lobsters peed out of their hostels confident that nobody will hunt for them, and you may even seen a huge grouper living only a few meters under the surface on the drop-off.
Blue Safari

Laterin the morning you drop anchor by a sand bank where we set up sun shades and fit our clients with snorkeling equipments . our guides will safely lead the snorkeling session and show points of interests, accompany our clients.
After snorkeling you move to desert island restaurant located beneath the shade of large tamarind tree on kwale Island. Lunch is a traditional Zanzibar buffet and includes a delicious Zanzibar sea food lunch with grilled fish and slipper lobster, calamari, chicken ,rice, tamarind and coconut source, gastronomic fruit tasting, coffee and Amarula liqueur. All served hot from ice cold sodas, mineral water and beer and return to Fumba by sail as the sun begin to set, arriving back in fumba at around 17:30h.
DOLPHINS TOUR – FULL DAY
This tour will take you to one of the earlier capital of the island( KIZIMKAZI )where trace of an Old shirazi settlement (probably a fort) may be seen in an enclosure surrounded by a walled enclosure is an ANCIENT MOSQUE where an inscription records that the mosque was built in A.H. 500 (A. D. 1107) by a SHEIKH SEYYID ABI AMRAN, who appears to have been a local ruler. Outside the mosque is a well and graves of Sheriffs(descendants of the prophet). You will then proceed to a small fishing village where you will be taken for a boat ride (in motorized local boat) in search of dolphins (85% chances). lunch will be served at kizimkazi.
Prison Island – Half day
This tour includes a visit to the historic prison Island with its giant land tortoise. The island was formerly owned by an Arab and used for confinement of refractory slaves. It was bought by general Mathews and the jail (goal) which still stands was build in 1893 and hence the name ”PRISON ISLAND”. While on the island you will be able to swim, sunbathe and snorkel. It is a relaxing excursion that takes half –day to this beautiful island from Stone Town. Although it was originally built as a prison it was never put into use. Later it was used as a quarantine of slaves for the whole of East Africa. The remnants of the built are still visible. The island offers a stunning view of stone town. There is very beautiful minor sandy beach where swimming in the crystal waters is marvelous. The coral reefs surrounding the island provide an opportunity for snorkeling. This is also a home of the giant tortoise, which is now under strict conservation. A short-guided tour around the island will provide the real picture.
Sunset Dhow Cruise: 16:30 – 18:30
Step onto the deck of our vessels, relax and let us sail you away on a magical sunset cruise to end your day. Our sunset cruises leave stone town in the late afternoon to cruise along the coast, slicing through the clear turquoise water. The sounds of the bustle of busy people in stone town grow faint in the distance onboard our dhow we have personal guide who will accompany you on your cruise and give you a tour of stone town from the water as well as be able to answer any questions that you may have for him.
The sunsets, changing the sky from shades of pinks and blues to magnificent golden colors as you sail back towards the glimmering lights of stone town in the distance and the wind gently blows you back to the shore.
Jozan Forest –Half day trip
This guided tour will take you to Jozan natural forest ; the smaller trees and shrubs make several sub-canopies under the highest canopy. You will walk through the nature trail of the forest which is a habitat for many species of animals, and birds. It is famous for its Red Colobus Monkey; the rare specie. The Zanzibar RED COLOBUS has been isolated from its mainland counterparts for at least ten to fifteen thousand years, thus producing a distinct sub-species with different calls, eating habits and coat patterns. Jozani forest has become the last stronghold in the world for this particular type of colobus
Spice Tour
